David and I just returned to Shanghai from a two week holiday in Marbella, Spain. We were so happy to be able to attend the wedding of his youngest sister and longtime beau part deux - I rhymed! The weather nearly made up for missing the UK ceremony. The Spanish wedding featured foods galore and fantastic music (even better dancing from the novios), ending the night with everyone in the swimming pool. Hopefully I'll be able to share wedding pics soon.
For our city nuptials in Camden Town Hall, I really wanted something elegant, simple, and modern yet timeless. It was also important to me that no matter what I chose, I would be able to wear it again at some point. I found that searching for white and ivory cocktail dresses produced a wider variety of styles and price points. The Calvin Klein I wore is no longer available, but some of my current favorite LWD picks are below. Not to mention, if you are able to find a great deal on the dress, you get to splurge on footwear!
Preview post of all the nuptial excitement! After enjoying a very ladylike afternoon tea at the Dean Street Townhouse, Raquel escorted us to a basement, prohibition-style cocktail tea room where I enjoyed the cocktail of the month 'Here Comes the Bride.' Doctor Shi gave a lovely gift of good fortune while we visited the Stables Market in Camden. It only seemed appropriate having met in China, David and I wandered Chinatown the day after the wedding.
