ROADTRIP TO RONDA

After the wedding festivities David and I took a roadtrip west. Along the way we stopped in Ronda, where Ernest Hemingway and Orson Welles spent many summers. Ronda is the birthplace of modern bullfighting and home to the oldest bullring in Spain. The Ronda School for Bullfighting is still known today for its classicism and strict adherence to the rules.

We walked down the Camino de los Molinos to get a better view of the Puente Nuevo (new bridge). Despite the name, the bridge took 42 years to building, joing the old Moorish town to the El Mercadillo parts of the city. The views of El Tajo gorge are stunning from the Parador hotel as well, which sits adjacent to the bridge.
