Winter has been in full swing during my visit back in the Midwest, so when the opportunity to spend a weekend in Bogotá, Colombia came up, I hopped on a flight. The sprawling city has a number of museums to offer, cobblestoned streets, and colonial architecture.
Trekking Monserrate and taking in the view of the city was the highlight of the trip. We lucked out with fantastic weather, despite a forecast of rain.
The Paloquemao Market is on every tourism list. We just missed the early hours of the flower market, but were able to catch the last few vendors. The market has many eateries for sampling the freshest produce.
