The great thing about weddings is the excuse to take an indulgent holiday afterwards. David's youngest sister married in September and we convinced the happy couple to make their honeymoon an Asian adventure. After a week showing them the major sites of Beijing and Shanghai, we headed to Bali for rest and relaxation.

We followed the usual itinerary of Ubud + beach, this time staying in Canggu. In Ubud we stayed at one of my understated favorites 'Organic Bungalow' on airbnb. The balconies are perfect for morning yoga. Once we had our fill of rice terraces we headed to Canggu and stayed at another airbnb bungalow. These are run similar to a hotel, each with a private pool, in-villa massage, and outdoor bathrooms. The location was great, secluded and peaceful yet just a few minutes away from Canggu beach area. The Canggu village has a number of different temples to explore, a quiet (and flat) road along rice terraces which makes for a breathtaking morning run, and only 10 kilometers from Tanah Lot. I debuted my new swimwear from Cali Dreaming available here, and I cannot recommend it enough. This bikini top is was surprising comfortable - soft fabric is appreciated when shoulders catch too much sun!
